Grandpas

Just a couple of notes of the grandpas I knew and loved. Pop Nulton (my Dad's father) was the "horsey" one. He taught me to blow my nose "farmer's style" which was to hold one nostril shut and just blow out the other - downwind, of course!

Here is the link to a blog I wrote about him:

Pop Drake (my Mother's father) was quieter and deeper and way less fun except for his piano playing. He never read music, just played away. He also took me for walks to the ice cream store and we would stop by the stock yards and watched animals being loaded onto railroad cars. I didn't know they were to become the meat we ate! He had a glass eye and would pop it out into his hand so I could touch it and see it up close. I liked that! When I knew him he was totally bald.

He had a very long first name - Aurelius Alva - but everyone called him "Real."
